SHIKOKU 100
By JANEK
1,200 Kilometers. 100 Sacred Sites. One Journey
I looked at my achievements and felt their hollowness.
Impressive on paper. Empty in my hands.
So I'm walking the Shikoku Henro.
Not as a tourist.
As a seeker.

The Shikoku Henro is one of the world's oldest Buddhist pilgrimages — a circular journey around the island of Shikoku, visiting 100 temples and sites associated with the monk Kūkai [Kōbō Daishi].
I'll walk this path on foot, staying in local minshuku (guesthouses), eating at local establishments, and honoring the traditions that communities have maintained for over a thousand years.
I don't know what I'll find. I think that's the point.
100 digital posters
One for each sacred site.
Meditative.
Minimal.
Free.
All posters will be freely available on a dedicated website after the pilgrimage. No paywalls, no email capture — just a clean space where anyone can view and download them.
Help make it happen
GOAL
€10,000
Campaign active
The journey begins mid-March and I need your help.
I'm raising €10,000 to cover flights, lodging, food, temple donations, gear, and daily expenses across 80 days in Japan.
Every contribution brings me one step closer to the path.
